Thrustmaster and Windows 7 64 Bit

Featured Replies

HelloI have been using my old Thrustmaster F-22 and F-16 TQS and Thrustmaster rudder pedels on Windows XP (FSX and FS9). Thinking of upgrading, and was wondering if they will work on Windows 7 64 bit? I would hate to loose my Thrustmaster setup. They were really well built as compared to today's Couger setup and have given me supurb service.ThanksEd

I have those as well (with the digital chips) and an extra stick for parts. But I am currently using the Cougar.I just today received an email from Thrustmaster stating that the Cougar will only work in Windows 7 32bit for now and that they are working on an x64 bit driver. But as far as your older setup I doubt if anyone knows. However I know that the Professional and Ultimate versions of W7 can run Windows XP virtually. SO maybe there is some hope.

Hey, I got my Cougar to work!!!!!!I used the file from Thrustmaster for Vista named '2007_HCO_VISTA_64_RC1.exe' and then in it's 'Properties' ran as' Administrator' and chose 'Vista SP2' as the compatiblity.Make sure your Cougar in not plugged in ... run the program and follow it's instructions. Works like charm!Don't forget to install Foxy.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest. Works like a charm.I'm still confused as to wy vendors fail on 65 bit drivers. Even my Father in laws' inexpensive laptop has Win 7 premium x64 on it from HP.
