JS4100 & Cockpit Chatter

Featured Replies

Hello fellow simmers,I just purchased the JS4100 and it's a beauty.I have several top quality payware aircraft, such as the Pilatus-12, Citation Mustang, etc., and I use Cockpit Chatter during flight to change altitudes, headings, etc., by voice commands instead of the mouse.I have found that with the JS4100, "all" of these functions have to be done manually as it will not accept the voice commands through Cockpit Chatter. IS this normal? Thanks in advance,Tom HigginbothamMontgomery, AL, USA

At the present time CC can control altitude, heading, speed, etc. with some of the payware aircraft. Hopefully they'll upgrade the plug-ins to work with more aircraft such as the JS4100 in the future. Other than the Pilatus-12 and the Cessna Mustang which of the payware aircraft have you used with CC being able to control altitude, heading, and speed? In addition to the ones you mentioned I've used CC successfully with the Wilco PIC 737.

Hello, long time for a reply but glad to see it.I also use the Wilco Tilt Rotor, the new Lionheart Epic Victory Jet works with CC -Of course, all of my default fixed wings work with it.....I've threaded CC as wellas sending email to support to no avail.Tom

The Jetstream use 99 percent 'custom' variables & events that are not accessible to outside sources. For example, you can't control the autopilot, etc., using the stock variables and events from the MS SDKs.This fact has traditionally been the bane of developing crew add-ons for the high-end 3rd party planes. That said, this is why in the soon-to-be released FS2Crew version for the Jetstream, I had to do the whole thing from scratch and commune with the flightsim Gods...Otherwise I wouldn't be able to achieve hardly integration because the required data simply would not be available. As it stands, right now I have near perfect, direct and seamless integration. No mouse clicks. No keypresses. It's totally clean.
