Megascenery for Dallas/Ft. Worth?

Featured Replies

I know megascenery Dallas (FS9) has been out for some time now...I have GE Pro and UT textures and was wondering if MS Dallas fits in well and if there are any issues with installing it with UT and GEPro already loaded? Any issues with Vista 64 bit? Thanks!Rich PerryIntel i7 Extreme Edition 965 oc'd 3.8GhzNvidia 285GTX 2GB GPUOCZ 6GB DDR3 RAMRaptor 10000rpm HDSB X-Fi ExtremeDell 24 1920x1200Vista Ultimate 64 bit

Thanks Bill...is it worth it from your perspective? Flying for AA now so doing a lot more KDFW runs.RIch

Hi again Rich!I think most photoreal sceneries are at their most enjoyable if you are actually familiar with an area and can recognise sites etc, so if you are flying in to DFW regularly I would be inclined to recommend the Dallas Megascenery. I don't know if you already have any other Megascenery titles installed (I have them all - am a bit of a scenery junkie!) and they are very good, although not quite in the same league as the France VFR sceneries which I would say set the gold-standard for photoreal scenery, helped by liberal amounts of autogen buildings, trees etc. Megascenery has not quite got the same concentration of autogen so from a low level can look a little flat although from higher altitudes (about 2000ft upwards) it is very good. Hope this helps your decision. By the way it may also be worth your while getting the payware DFW airport scenery if you fly in there a lot.Bill
