October 27, 200916 yr Hi allDoes anybody know how to install updated SIDs and STARs? I tried and ended up re-installing all my PMDG aircraft (747, MD11, J41) all for FSX. Any help would be appreciated. After I installed the latest (0911) my FMC in the 747 and MD11 had no approaches.RegardsKim Barreto http://www.precisionmanuals.c...pmdg_trijet.jpg
October 27, 200916 yr The installer from Navigraph should put them in the proper locations. For FSX, the navdata files go in pmdg/navdata and the sidstars pmdg/sidstars. These are all text files, you can open them and confirm the proper files are installed. There is no way installing these text files should require reinstalling the simulations. Good grief, what happened? Dan Downs KCRP
October 27, 200916 yr Author I do not know. I downloaded the update from flightsim and then just copied and pasted them into the pmdg sid/stars folder and then loaded the each aircraft and they did not recognise them. What did I do wrong? I also went to Planepath and downloaded the exe file with the same update and the same thing happened.Kim Barreto http://www.precisionmanuals.c...pmdg_trijet.jpg
October 27, 200916 yr You can only originate update from navigraph.com. What you've done is added sidstars that aren't the same version of the navdata.Probably a lot of the fixes aren't in the navdata files and defo a mismatch of dates.John Ellison
October 27, 200916 yr Get an account at navigraph, download 0911. Before running the navigraph installer clean out both pmdg/navdata and pmdg/sidstar folders then run the installer. You can add sidstars from flightsim.com if they are cycle 0911 such as my collection, or planepath.com, but stay away from anything that is not cycle 0911.
