Should FS9 be running this slow?

Thanks for all your advice. After making the recommended changes to my fs9.cfg, doing a registry clean and killing off some of the other processes running, I have a much more respectable 20-25FPS when on the runway at a 60% loaded Gatwick. Once I have left gatwick my FPS is up in the 40s. There is still a few stutters as it loads chunks of autogen but I dont think there is a way around that. One option I am not sure which route to take is the visibility?I use FSPUIC module and htere is a tab for visibility settings in there, the default is to reduce the vis to 60 miles by adding a "hazy cloud" layer. Should I allow full distance view in FS9 and then use FSPUIC to restrict the distance viewed or just reduce it to 60-70 miles within FS9?Also, as I use AV6, should I use that to set proper visibilities or does that work in conjunction with the settnigs in FSPUIC?
