July 4, 200322 yr The ATI 9800 Pro works just fine in FS2004, and I am using the latest drivers....Catalyst 3.5. Howard Jetline Systems: Intel 8th Gen Core i7 8700K (4.8GHz Overclock); GTX 1080 Ti; LG Curved UltraWide 3440x1440 Monitor .
July 4, 200322 yr Thanks Howard. Im using the 3.2's with fs2002 but the 3.5's are choppy. Not sure how they will be on my system when I get the new sim. Thanks again. I have a similar rig. What are your detail settings in the new sim?BobG
July 5, 200322 yr Bob;If you get the 9800 Pro, be sure to download the Control Panel from the ATI website. It allows you to change all the settings. It is an awsome card for FS2002.
July 5, 200322 yr Hi Bob,I'm not a beta tester but, I do own a Dell 8250 with the Radeon 9700TX and I'm MORE than pleased with the performance I've been getting in FS2002. I get a constant 25fps (locked) in the air and in areas with heavy AI, it can drop down to + - 10fps but that's only on the ground. I've also got additional elevated terrain mesh for the entire west caost stretching into Alaska and my system handles it very well. If you have a Radeon, do yourself a favor and download the Rage3D Tweaker. You can find it over at www.rage3d.com. It gives you access to the higher functions of the card and you can really tweak the FSAA and AA to give you the best visuals.I'm looking forward to seeing what this system can do with FS2004!!I'm sorry, but I'm like a new parent showing off baby pictures - Here's a screen shot :-)http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/21179.jpgMikehttp://www.members.shaw.ca/madamo/boeingsig.jpg
