July 4, 200322 yr I was wondering how to exclude certain 3rd party aircraft that may be bringing my perf down more than I'd like . . .Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. July 5, 200322 yr You got a top of the line system (almost), should be no aircraft that will bring your performance down! LOLSeriously, I assume you mean one you use for AI that is a framerate hog and it is bringing your FPS down, correct? Just delete that aircraft or change the name in the aircraft cfg so that it doesn't match the flight plan name and it won't show up as AI. Of course you could just use AITM utility and reassign another aircraft to that flightplan. I only use PAI, Aardvark and FSP aircraft for AI, learned the hard way that it kills the FPS with any other, and no matter what others say I see hardly a difference between any of the mentioned models on impact, about the same. Rule of thumb, if it has a VC it probably won't be good for AI.Regards, Michaelhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com Best, Michael KDFW
July 7, 200322 yr Author Double click on that plane's aircraft.cfg file and change the title= line (I add NoAI to the end for "No AI"). The only problem with this approach is that any Flight you created for this plane will no longer load the plane - you'll have to do that manually after starting that flight (and then resave the flight).Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
July 10, 200322 yr Actually, I high percentage of AI aircraft are still very poorly made & will bring a 5Ghz system to a crawl if there
July 10, 200322 yr Thanks folks these are helpful tricks.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync.
