November 21, 200916 yr It is the second time I have a problem with the "Before Taxi" Checklist. FS2Crew have stopped before this point, the FA told me "Cabin ready" but if I push my "green" Button, the FO tolds me "Why should we do that not a little later" and nothig happens.DEP BRIEF MODE is BEFORE TAXIIs there a trick to start the BEFORE TAXI checklist?Which reasons are possible for that stop, have I forgotten anything important?Could it be a problem with the "FS2Crew ALTITUDE Menu", I klicked that by mistake before? Is it possible to jump to the next checklist at this moment?I have tried to release my parking brakes at that point, but it doesn't helps. It is very disappointing if there is no possibility to continue!I am using FS2Crew with SP1+SP2, FSX+SP2, Vista as admin and every SP, Intel quadcore 2,6MHz, 4 GB ramThank you for help :) Gruss Jörg

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you're referring to there. Please try running the tutorial flight to the letter. Don't skip anything. Don't fast forward the time. Follow it to the letter.Without being at your computer, it's hard to see what you're doing so it's hard to comment.Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord

I don't know if this it the reason but it was the only point out of the tutorial. Gruss Jörg
November 23, 200916 yr Commercial Member I mean the special FS2Crew Dialog with a left mouseclick on the standby altimeter. I don't know if this it the reason but it was the only point out of the tutorial.Ah, that wouldn't be a factor.Again, run the tutorial to the letter and make sure all updates are installed. It works, but somehow you're missing a step or doing something that tricks it.Cheers, B. November 23, 200916 yr Author Ah, that wouldn't be a factor.Again, run the tutorial to the letter and make sure all updates are installed. It works, but somehow you're missing a step or doing something that tricks it.Cheers,I think I have found the reason for that problem. I have done my todo list a little bit to slow.Example:Checklist Final Cockpit Preparation is finished but I was a little bit to slow.So the FA comes with the message doors closed and locked before(!) I could start engine #2 for Hotel-Mode.Then I am starting Hotel-mode with the MECH option "H"First time Green button for FO info "start NH"In this moment comes the message "ready for starting before taxi checklist"From this time on, I get 2(!) answers at the same moment when I klick the green button, one message for the next FO info (Fuel, ITT, Oil pressure...) and one message for the next point of the "before taxi checklist. After this happens I couldn't go on with FS2Crew because I only get the answer "why should we do that not a little later".I think, thats not a good solution, the "before taxi checklist" must wait for the last step of the Hotel-mode. What do you think? Gruss Jörg
November 24, 200916 yr Commercial Member Hi,Try this:Run the Final Cockpit Prep Checklist right after the FO hands you the takeoff data card. This will be around the 5 to 6 minutes remaining mark.Don't doddle. Bang through it quick. You should be able to finish the checklist in under 30 seconds.Do not fast forward the time remaining down. After you've run the checklist, immediately contact the start crew and start Hotel Mode.Important thing is not to doddle. Also, are you using the FS2Crew Manual or your own notes? Please use the FS2Crew manual, be sure to take a 2nd look at the FS2Crew Main ATR manual pages 37, 38, 39 and 40.Best, B. If I use the software with normal speed it works. But I think the software should also work correct, if the player is a little bit to late, isn't it?With the version for the MD11 it is possible to skip over a step without problems, is it possible with a trick to do the same with the ATR version? Gruss Jörg
November 25, 200916 yr Commercial Member I'm glad it's working for you now. It's complex software and we're trying to model a very complex set of procedures. The ATR is probably the most complex FS2Crew of them all. That said, there's a general expectation that the software will be used as described in the manual/script.If you follow the script you'll be okay. If deviate too much, you'll trip the software up.As for skipping: The ATR is an old product now. The newer versions, however, such as the MD-11, are generally much more flexible with regards to skipping checklists, and skipping sections, etc.Best, B.
