it's not an fsuipc error.are you running rc as admin?have you defined the path to where the .flt/.wx files are stored? click the .flt/.wx buttonhave you recently upgraded avg 8.x to 9.x? if so, avg is what is causing the problem.jd

Hani,This thread also discussed problems with RCv4 and AVG9. http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=265231For the time being AVG9 is best avoided. However, if you use AlacrityPC the AVG Tray process can be terminated and that should prevent any problems whilst running FS/RCv4.

Hi Ray,Thanks so much for getting back to me, well I removed AVG for now, and I installed Avast for now, and tried a flt and all is working.I might try AlacrityPC later on just to see if it will work for me, BTW I was using enditall, to close all my background and I was forcing it to kill AVG, I guess that was not enough.So thanks for that option that I will try.Best regardsHani

Hi Hani,AlacrityPC is the replacement for EndItAll and is a substantial improvement. It's 'donationware' so you can try it first.RCv5 seemed happy even with 5 AVG-related executables running with AVG9 installed. It was only AVG Tray that appeared to cause the comms problem. I'm currently using Microsoft Security Essentials. That is trouble-free so far.
