Crackling sounds

Featured Replies

Hello thereI was wondering - I don't get any sound crackling with any other add-on at all, only the sound set of Devyn Silverstein. I have noticed they are relatively loud, but they may have nothing to do with it. Drivers are up to date etc. I have also tried lowering sound acceleration settings both in FS and in the DXDIAG panel. Is there any practical solution to this matter, or is it a bit hard to put a finger on?I am using an Apple laptop running Windows XP SP3, so an onboard sound card.Has anyone any ideas? Thanks for any help any of you can offer.Cheers,Rudy

Was this with a specific package by Devyn? I see several he has done in the library.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. It was his Rolls-Royce RB211-524 package. The are quite lound sounds, and if you fly for a while say at climb thurst, you get a regular sort of crackle (bit like a static sound) every few seconds. Is this a sort of easily fixed or obvious problem?Cheers,Rudy

Well if it is the file named rolls-royce_r211-524g.zip, that is one which did not survive the May hack - so it is unavailable.I was going to download it and see if I could duplicate your issue but that seems out of the question now unless the author decides to re-upload it. Sorry.
