December 6, 200916 yr Hello, does anybody know if it is possible to easy set-up where the additional external window view (switched on by ctrl+Q in FS9) appears and with which parameters ? (I mean where, size, if it is over panels, e.t.c.). Normally, with switch on (ctrl+q) it appears in the left up corner, another one right over it and so on, on its standard size. I guess it can be somewhere in .cfg file...?The reason why I ask is to possible use it as camera view to outside in modern planes screens (777, 340,...) as help for crews ..many thanksJM Jan Maca maca11 using PMDG 747 v3 P3D v 4.3
December 10, 200916 yr JM,you can do it with the same XML gauge code I explaint to you on your recent post. If you make the window size e.g. 200x200 and put a overlay bmp body on it, you have a nice looking window with a view outside your aircraft.Sent me a PM if you need more info on it and on how to do it, if you want. December 21, 200916 yr Author Hello Dietmar,is this FSVIEW macro working also in FS9, so I can use exactly the same xml for FS9 as well ?many thanksregardsJM Jan Maca maca11 using PMDG 747 v3 P3D v 4.3
December 21, 200916 yr JM,I don't think so .Sorry! The MACRO is called VS9VIEW in FSX and shall provide in FSX a fixed window lookalike function. So, with the fixed window capability in FS9 you should be able to get what you want.Dietmar
December 22, 200916 yr Author Dietmar, thanks, I see. My point is if I can open a fixed window via gauge with certain parameters as another external view on screen with main view. (Normally I am able to configure fixed windows but it is either fixed window with view (e.g. right or rear e.t.c.) or main. Not both together.regards !JM Jan Maca maca11 using PMDG 747 v3 P3D v 4.3
December 22, 200916 yr Hi JM,I got your point. You want to see on top of the main panel window in addittion the little view right, left etc. window, but FS9 presents just the one or the other. I do not have FS9 any more, and unfortunatly, i think I cannot help you on this. No idea even whether it is possible at all in FS9 what you are looking for. Very sorry.RegardsDietmar
