Please help setting up some camera definitions

Hello, I am trying to rework the wingview camera definitions for the QW 757. I am using a guide which says to set up a flight, adjust all of the cameras and save the flight. Go in to the flight with notepad and enter the values. The problem is that the cameras are not pointing in the proper direction and they are in the wrong places along the length of the fuselage. There left/right and up/down positions seem to be ok. I create camera views for all my FSX aircraft. The following works for me. 1) Backup your existing aircraft.cfg.2) Change the initialxyz and initialpbh fields to =0, 0, 0 for any camera view you want to alter, then save.3) Load FSX and set camera views to your liking.4) Save flight and assign a name to it.5) Open FLT file you saved (I use notepad) and change the fields in step 2 to the new values, (matching Guid codes). Always make sure the pbh 0 at the end is moved to the center value.6) When done entering, again save the aircraft.cfg. The new camera views should now work. If you don't like them, you have your backup to fall back on. Whenever I had a problem setting the correct view, it was because I neglected to set the fields to 0 first. Hope this helps.Curt

You have to exit, reset the view in question back to 0 and readjust back in the sim.One problem I am having - my wingviews that are located right over the wing are acting strange. On the ground the look great but once in the air, they seem to have a large invisible bubble around the eyepoint that cuts off about 5 feet of the wing and most of the engine. I know this doesn't make any sense but I don't know how else to describe it.Do you have any idea what I am talking about?

Jeff, I lost track of this thread, don't think I was ignoring you. On the first point, I set up the views in windowed mode so I have access to FSX and the .cfg file at the same time. I also have a key command set in FSX to reload the aircraft (Ctrl-Shft-R). This way after entering the various numbers I save the .cfg file and then reload the aircraft without shutting down the sim. I can now see if I like the results, and change the one or two I want to do over by repeating the steps outlined earlier. On your second point, I don't have an answer about your wing views unless the developer didn't model the entire wing. On a side note, you won't need to do this much longer if you plan on buying the EZdoc Camera program by Marniftarr. He announced it would be released by Flight1 in the future, but no date given. With his program you won't need to fiddle with .cfg files anymore.Curt

Thanks. I got them all set and I am looking forward to EZdoc.I don't know what the parameter was that was causing the problem - I think it may have been show axis. I ended up going in to the CLS 747 camera views that work normally and coping some of their settings and I got everything to work.Thanks again for the help.
