December 9, 200916 yr Lately I've been having issues where my virtual cockpit goes out of control. Literally, the view starts spinning around and around, up and down, and there's no way to get it under control. Even if I switch views it continues spinning wildly. If I was looking for a roller coaster experience I'd be okay with it. This continues until I hit enough keys to crash FSX. Anyone experience what I'm talking about here and have a suggestion for me?CurtQuad 93004 gb memoryNvidia 8800 Curt Branch
December 9, 200916 yr Sounds like you might have a duplicate control input for movement in the VC - check hat switch as if its' spinning AND looping at the same time it's most likely the cause. If you also have another key combo or stick switch controlling the movement you get a mix-up. You can restore default key commands and see if that fixes it.The other cause is the sensitivity slider, if you have it set too sensitive on view command functions on the hat switch you get exactly the same result.
December 9, 200916 yr Commercial Member Check also if there's not too much light in the room since the sensor is sensitive to light. If you get spinning views, simply unplug (wait a few seconds) and replug the TrackIR cable from the back of your computer instead of hitting keyboard keys unnecessarily. This will reset sensitivities to your usual setting. It will also save you the trouble of reverting to default and resetting to your state all over again. December 10, 200916 yr Author Thanks for the replies, and no I'm not using TrackIR. I did adjust the joystick settings some, and should know shortly if that is the solution.Curt Curt Branch
