Saitek Aviator vs Cyborg X?

Featured Replies

Well, now that I'm sick and tired of my Logitech Force 3D Pro (which I had to buy because of the lack of availability of the Extreme 3D pro), I'm looking for a new joystick for replacing it. I've seen these 2 sticks from Saitek: the Aviator (the standard one, not the Xbox or PS3 one) and the Cyborg X. Here at the Avsim store, as well as FS Pilot Shop and X-plane.org's store, I've seen the Aviator is US$10 cheaper than the Cyborg X, however, I can't see any difference between them: both have 2 throttles, twist for rudder and almost the same number of buttons. What do you recommend me? My budget is limited to $50.Best regards from ColombiaLuis MiguelPS: If you ask "why the downgrade", I got tired of the force feedback in my current joystick, getting rid of it will be an upgrade for me, FSForce didn't help at all, specially when flying Airbus.

Lossless Scaling for all my sims. What a godsend...

-------------------------------------------------Just go online for your new Extreme 3D Pro. Amazon.com has them for $29.99 US. If you might want to try somthing new, the I would suggest the Saitek AV8R-01. I have that, and it is turing out to be a great stick. Very accurate and I really like the feel of the toggles, rather than buttons. But, the Extreme 3D Pro also has great 'feel' as long as the left/right axis plays ball...Ho, Ho, Ho!

Well, judging by some Amazon reviews (and googling a lot), the Cyborg has a little scroll wheel that can be used as a trim. I've just ordered it today, it will be arriving in Medell
