I took your proxyuser.ini, Mark, and it works moderate. The texture directly under my aircraft looks very blurred and it only loads in a higher resolution when I'm already somewhere else.
It could be that your are trying to fly too fast. Texture loading on the screen is a FSX job, once the tiles are available. I easily 'outrun' available textures that have been made and available for days or weeks. Heck, even outrunning default textures is common. TileProxy only makes photo scenery replacement tiles. Handling those tiles is mostly up to FSX.
By the way, I would like to use Service 1 because there are much better pictures for Europe I think. Is it difficult to change your file to Service 1?
There are only 2 lines difference ( module_config, and map_version ) in the configurations for different services - everything else can either be identical or dramatically different, as you choose.IF you do not keep them otherwise matched, you must be mindful that the max_lod at the top of the ini needs to correspond to the max_level you are using down here in the service configurations. Typically I keep them the same. And selecting the other service too, of course.############################source=Service3############################[service1]#----------------------------------- service "1"cache_folder= ( your cache folder name ... could be different than other service)network_module=libnettilemodule_config="conn=4|rate=1.0|verbose=0|server=http://a*.ortho.tiles.virtualearth.net|path=/tiles/a%s.jpeg?g=%v|quad=0123|balance=0123|useragent=Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)"min_level=10max_level=16map_version=409#-------------10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17__guidelevel_mapping=10,11,12,14,14,15,16#------------color_hack=Nocolor_level=13bulk_extend=50[service3]#----------------------------------- Service "3"cache_folder= ( your cache folder name... could be different than other service)network_module=libnettilemodule_config="conn=4|rate=2.0|verbose=0|server=http://us.maps3.yimg.com|path=/aerial.maps.yimg.com/img?x=%x&y=%y&z=%z&v=%v&t=a|useragent=Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)"min_level=10max_level=16#-------------10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17__guidelevel_mapping=10,11,12,14,14,15,16map_version=1.9color_hack=Nocolor_level=0bulk_extend=50------------------------------------------------------------Hope this helpsLoyd

HeyThanks for your answers. I think I got it :( . The Problem wasn't the configuration but my virus software. Until now I've only used to disable the firewall but it's neccessary to disable the whole virus software. Scenery looks much better now and there aren't any problems. Now I have a new question: What about the ... simulation speed? Don't know how it's exactly called in English. How can TileProxy handle these option? Sometimes I like to skip the long flight but I still want to have nice scenery.belanna

Gets all blurry very quickly if you speed up the sim.You need to pause for a bit after to let the scenery clear.IAN

To a certain extent, the problem of keeping textures sharp is a FSX limitation. You can speed the sim up and get blurry textures without TileProxy at all. When you slow down, the sim catches up and normal textures are soon visible again.TileProxy is the same. IF you already have flown the route and have the textures, it will be about the same using TileProxy. If you are flying in a new area you MAY pass through the area BEFORE TileProxy has a chance to make all of the needed textures. There are two separate processes happening here: TileProxy makes scenery whether you can see it or not but it does take some amount of time to do so. FSX displays scenery that is available if you are in the area long enough for it to finish the display.FSX displays starting at the most distant range and works its way closer to the nearest SCENERY RANGE around you. If the sim rate is above 1 or you are just flying fast you will enter a new scenery "block" and FSX will have to start over at the most distant range AND WILL NEVER GET FINISHED DISPLAYING THE NEARBY SCENERY - thus, "the blurries". This is why we pause ( sometimes I just drop the sim rate to .5 and keep flying) to give FSX the time it needs to finish the scenery display.Obviously, the faster your data transfer ( CPU speed and storage type and condition, video speed and capacity etc) the quicker your display can catch up and the better the simulation will be, but every machine will have some limit to what it can do.
