W7 performance...after the fact.

Recommended Posts

Has your XP arrived yet ? If so how did you find the change to XP64 from XP ?
Sorry to say, haven't received XP Pro 64 yet, coming by snail mail. But I did remove W7 64 & install my old XP Home Ed setting up using Nicks procedures (not all - just wanted to get up & running). Must say the machine is running FSX very well. Yesterday the Flight1 Conquest made a 9.2 hr. flight with no problems; however, the Flight1 Mustang caused a FSX Fatal Error & restarted FSX after three hours of flight - not sure what that was about. I'm looking forward to setting up XP Pro 64. However, with my other activities this project may take some time to complete. One thing for sure with limited testing, I do not plan to go back to W7 any time soon. Good luck! erv

FYI. Well, I managed to get XP64 installed in Flt Sim Computer following directions of NickN, Paul and others. Must say I will not be going back to W7 anytime soon. Have 8.1 flying hours with Flight1 Conquest and Mustang. Very pleased with performance although I am not finished tweaking yet! Initial report is very positive. Again, a big Thank you to all that continue to support our Flt Sim passion.BACK TO FLY and Happy New Year! erv
