Registration Problem

Featured Replies

Hi,I downloaded the J41 and it installs ok. But the window in which I'm supposed to enter the registration key does not appear. I searched the forum and checked the hint with the window hidden behind the FSX in FullScreen Mode, but there was no window anywhere on my desktop. I uninstalled and reinstalled serveral times, using registry cleaner in between, but still no possibility for a registration. Without it, the tutorial cannot be started due to lack of ground power and the freeflight has no instruments.I ran Win XP Home, SP3, FSX with AccelerationAny help would be appreciatedGunter Schneider

There's no workaround that I know of, you should send an email for assistance from pmdg support including your order info. Make sure you get an automated response, no response = they didn't get your email.I don't know if this helps, but make sure you don't have a firewall stopping the process. This is a real long shot, don't know if the communcations is after the box or before.

Thanks for all your help. I finally found the cause of the problem: As in the link of Joachims post, it was a SimConnect Issue. It was hard to detect, because other add-ons I have needed SimConnect as well and these were running without a problem. But now I reinstalled FSX+Acc, and the registration window appeared right away, I'm up and flying.... What a nice bird!BTW, I contacted PMDG-Support but never received an answer (no automated answer that is), so my message probably never made it to the specialists...

Gunter, glad it's working and thanks for reporting the solution, which will help the next guy that comes along with this problem. If you don't get an automated response, their spam filter stopped you so next time you might need to get a free gmail address... seems silly but that seems to work.

Thanks for the hint, Dan, I'll note that for the next time (I hope the bird keeps running nicely, but you never know...)Regards and Happy New Year everybody!Gunter Schneider
