Searching replacements for...

Featured Replies

..trains and radio chatter sounds.Hi,for flying over my home area i'm searching a german replacement train or help how to replace the default american train.I think i'm able to make a german S-Bahn model, but i have no clue how i can replace the default train and what rules have to be respected.I also want to replace the default radio chatter with sounds of the Stuttgart area, so i'd be very thankful if someone would know how i could get those real ATC sounds and what rules have to be respected for X-Plane.Thanks in advance and happy and healthy new year to everyone!EDIT: sorry, "of" and not "for" in the thread title :(

No one?I did search in all sim objects directories but i can't find a proper object or texture.

The radio chatter audio files are in Resources/sounds/radio chatter. Replace or add to these files as you see fit (I think). The trains are controlled by whichever network definition file is used by the DSF in question. The default road.net file is in Resources/default scenery/900 roads. If you just want to replace the train models, it's probably best to copy the library.txt file into a custom scenery package (in the Custom Scenery folder), delete all the car and road.net stuff, and map the default library paths to your new models as needed. Also, be sure to check scenery.x-plane.com and wiki.x-plane.com for all the details.Judith

Many thanks Judith :( Now i have a task for the weekend. Do you know if there is a way to make the roads and rails invisible so that cars and trains would drive directly on the photo texture? Thanks!Nils

Yes, they do move, quite cool.....Still learning X-Plane, very different from FSX but I love the smoothness of the gauges and scenery.Bruce.
