Product Comparison

Recommended Posts

Guest Bonanzapilot

I have recently upgraded to Windows7 64 bit and have been struggling with my PMDG 737NG. There have been several problems so I am thinking that perhaps a switch to the LevelD 767 would be in order. I am NOT bashing any product but I was wondering what your thoughts were on the comparison between the two (I realize they are different aircraft types) products. Beyond the fact that one is a 76 and the other is a 73, what are the selling points of the LevelD product? I can read the spec sheet, but was hoping the guys in the sim-world who have been flying it can offer some insight. I use FS2004.I have perused the LevelD forums but I am not a registered user as I haven;t bought it yet so I cannot get into tech support to ask if there are any Win7 64 bit issues.Thanks.John

The 767 is a newer and somewhat more sophisticated model than the 737 with more complete systems modeling. I have and enjoy them both in the Win7 x64 environment, and have noted no issues.DJ

I have Level-D and PMDG737.Both great products.Going back many years i originaly wanted DF737,I waited for the release and waited, finally got tired waiting and i got PIC767.The rest is history.I moved from PIC767 to Level-D and i did get PMDG 737/6/7/8/9 later.I dont want to start a war as i said both are great products but for me Level-D is #1.Nebojsa

Also not wanting to start a war here, but having both products I would give the upper hand to level d. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT, especiallly if your pc can run in vc mode from start to end.that is not to say the pimgee737 is bad.

Have Win7-64 myself and do not have a single problem with the PMDG 73N. Works like a charm. Try installing as Administrator. That said; if you're looking for a REALLY GOOD 76', the Level-D is what you need. Graphicly speaking, it's a little bit outdated when compared to the PMDG MD-11, but it sure matches and in some areas surpases the systems simulation.Be ready to do some reading...
