January 19, 201016 yr 8 years old. Pretending to be an adult as I wrote to Beechcraft to say I wanted to buy a plane. They sent me back the most beautiful color brochures you can imagine showing their Musketeer lineup. 3 versions... the 'Sport' with 2 windows on the side of the fuselage like the Cherokee 140, The 'Custom' with 3 windows like the Cherokee 180, and the 'Deluxe', with 4 windows like the Cherokee Six. WOW! I was in little kid heaven! 4 years later, age 12, my Dad takes me to an Airshow at St. Paul's Speed Holman Field, and gets me in line for a 2 penny a pound airplane ride... my first ever! I could not believe my luck! Long lines of kids waiting, long lines of various aircraft taxiing up to give the rides. My turn comes, and what pulls up on the tarmac next to me? The most beautiful Musketeer Custom I ever saw! Three windows!!! I hop in, and the rest is aviation history! Oh where oh where, have my Musketeers gone? Oh where oh where can they be? With their roofs curved nice, and their cowls bobbed short, oh where oh where can they be??? Flight Sim will never be complete until the prettiest little plane in aviation history flys again on our hard drives. Designers, please consider the lowly Musketeer... all 3 versions. Bless you all and happy landings! Timmy (flying FSX on Windows Vista)
January 19, 201016 yr The Beechcraft Musketeer and Sierra have always appealed to me a lot. It's regrettable that for all these years there's never been a nice example for MSFS. John
January 21, 201016 yr The Beechcraft Musketeer and Sierra have always appealed to me a lot. It's regrettable that for all these years there's never been a nice example for MSFS. JohnI am the proud owner of a late(er) model Sierra, one of only eight on the Australian Register. What a great secret these aircraft are, and I would like to know the history behind these little gems, and why they never became more mainstream - maybe overwhelmed by the Piper and Cessna equivalents, who knows? Recently, we upgraded it to IFR status and what great little tourers, and training platforms they are.A good Sierra in FS would be great. David Porrett
