C182RG cowl flaps

Featured Replies

Why do I have to pull the cowl flaps lever up (with the mouse) in the vc to actually pull it down, and down to pull it up...? Shouldn't it be the other way around? It feels unnatural.Awesome plane btw! :( This is the only thing that puzzles me.

I've mentioned this in the past to their support and it was never fixed. There are several planes like this, not just the 182RG.

Hm, pity... Well, at least I know now I am not the only one with this little problem.

I'm not a real C182 pilot, but I'm a real C172RG pilot. In real, you have to put the lever UP to open and DOWN to close.Claim to Cessna and not Carenado ;-)
I know, and Carenado didn't make a mistake there: up is indeed open and down is indeed close. But in order to pull the lever up I have to drag the mouse in the VC down and in order to drag the lever down I have to drag the mouse in the VC up... So it's the MOUSE that's the problem: it's working in the opposite direction. The cowl flaps themselves work as they should. :(You'd say something like that would be VERY EASY to change...
