January 24, 201016 yr Hi,I've searched this forum for an answer, but the search results for my keywords are exhaustive. Can you please give me an indication as to whether this has been solved by anybody before or is at least a known issue?I get CTDs pretty much always when trying to load a saved flight from KATL to PHNL on the MD11. The countdown clock ...19...18 sometimes makes it closer to zero, but until now it never went past 4... Then, all of a sudden, FSX reports a fatal error to have occurred and restarts. It's funny that another saved flight from EDDF to KBOS with the B744 loads perfectly - only the MD11 causes me this trouble. Please advise.Best regards, Patrick RizzoFlugsimulation.com staff member.
January 25, 201016 yr Could it be that you have changed the AIRAC database (new cycle installed) since you created and saved the original flight? There might be an anomaly associated with the flight plan that is causing the system to crash...Was the flight saved en route, or just the flight plan saved?Just a guess...Andrew Andrew Entwistle
January 26, 201016 yr Hi Patrick, What is the error? Does it say "side by side" error? What do your event logs say at the time of your CTD?Check your event logs under application. If you don't know how, just right click on my computer and choose "Manage". You'll get the computer management box to open. In the left column expand "Event Viewer", then highlight "Application".Their listed by time, so you may be able to easily find the error. If not, then just check next time it crashes. When you installed, did you get the C++ install dialog box? And did you install it? That's normally the issue. You may have to run the installer again as Administrator. Right click the install.exe and choose "Run As" Administrator.Otherwise, post your event log, and I'll take a look. Also, saved flights get corrupt. If it is only when loading a saved flight, delete it so you don't load it anymore. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
