February 2, 201016 yr I am checking out a new scenery for Bratislava airport (LZIB), I do not touch anything on the radio in my planes (I tried a few) and the ATIS for VIENNA comes on!?!? How does this happen? How do I fix it so Bratislava ATIS comes on and not Vienna? The scenery I have I got from this link http://www.avsim.su/forum/topic/71517-scenariy-bratislavi/ (the download is in the second responce)I did change the parking using AFCAD for my AI. Could that of caused a problem?
February 2, 201016 yr Author Ok it was the AFCAD. I put back the original AFCAD for the scenery and everything is back to normal. Can I use ADE on this scenery without messing up the ATIS?
February 2, 201016 yr Ok it was the AFCAD. I put back the original AFCAD for the scenery and everything is back to normal. Can I use ADE on this scenery without messing up the ATIS?There is no difference in the Comms Frequencies settings from the FS default airport and the AF2 file included with this scenery, so I do not think that is the problem.I think the answer lies in the Vienna scenery by FlyTampa, or maybe another scenery or AFCAD file for that airport. The FlyTampa scenery has has ATIS set on two frequencies (which may be technically correct) but one of these happens also to be the channel that the FS default flight is tuned to (122.95). So, as soon as your radios are active, you hear the ATIS. I guess Bratislava is within reception range of Vienna as far as FS is concerned. The solutions I can suggest are:a) Tune to the channel you want to use after entering the cockpitb) Retune the radio setting on the default flight and re-save - but this issue could then arise at another airport using that channelc) Open the LOWW AF2 file in AFCAD and delete the Comms entry for ATIS 122.950. You will still be able to get ATIS on the other channel (121.725).I don't know why your other AFCAD for Bratislava solved the problem, this may have been coincidence but I cannot examine it as I don't know where you got it from. There is no reason why you shouldn't be able edit the file supplied with the scenery in AFCAD that I can think of - try the above points frst and then have another go.John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
February 2, 201016 yr Author Thanks I will try that. I have the Fly Tampa scenery but it not installed yet (re installing my scenery on a new computer) so my Viena scenery is the default scenery for now. I checked the default AFCAD for Vienna and it has two ATIS frequencies also.PS: my other AFCAD was the original AFCAD the came with the scenery
