February 2, 201016 yr I wonder if anyone else sometimes gets these annoying colour changes - one moment the sky is blue, 5 seconds later grey. Then 10 seconds (or so) later, back to blue. And so on. It seems to happen mostly on the ground, but I can't pin down a common factor. I have Active Sky 6 but closing it down doesn't stop the colours from changing. I also have Flight Environment and Ground Environment Pro, but they only load textures at start up, I can't see how they would be actively changing the sky colours. Here are some screenshots to show what is happening:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/martinlest/GreySky.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/martinlest/BlueSky.jpgSuggestions welcome (cures even more so!!),Thankjs,Martin Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
February 2, 201016 yr the sky turns gray when visibility goes below 10SM. Check to make sure weather is loading properly. Also, make sure gradual visibility changes is checked in AS. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |
February 2, 201016 yr Author Hi. Thanks, but not sure what you mean by 'make sure the weather is loading properly'. The messages in AS6 all seem to indicate that things are OK, as far as I can see - wx files show as loaded anyway. In AS6 I have "Visibility Smoothing" and "Enforce Visibility Limits" checked (in the Visibility section). I assume the former is what you meant? But as I say, with AS6 shut down, I still get the switches every 5-10 seconds (happens maybe in 5-10% of flights).M. :-) Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
February 3, 201016 yr Well if you're sitting still on the ground, the sky texture shouldn't change unless a new set of weather is loaded by AS and you haven't disabled local ground changes. So if that's happening, I'm not really sure of the problem. If it's during flight, that's normal as you are flying into new weather stations every few minutes and if they are reporting visibility under 10SM, then that sky texture will change. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |
February 15, 201016 yr I'll take that as a 'no' then! :(No sorry, I don't really have anything else for you apart from making sure you enabled 'Disable local ground changes' in AS. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |
