They can be painted but anything new you add must also be added to the cfg file as well as the sms file in the Squawkbox folder. Clarke Kruger - CYEG
February 2, 201016 yr Or you don't have to use the VIP aircraft at all.I'm using my high quality AI planes online. And those come in virtually all possible liveries. However I'm an FSInner, not a Squawkboxer. :( But I guess it should work the same.

I mean the SB aircraft are so lame. It would be good if i could get some nice detailed AI aircraft.
February 2, 201016 yr Can you tell me how you do that?Sure, that's simple, wowk. But do remember I'm not using Squawkbox, but FSInn.FSInn will use virtually any AI aircraft stored in your FS9 aircraft folder. You can use ready packages (VIP or MPP), commercial traffic addons (UltimateTraffic or MyTraffic) or any of your AIs (WOAI, custom ones, etc).On the first run, FSInn builds a database (Aircraft repository) for all aircraft you have in the Aircraft folder and matches them in the best possible way. It can be rebuilt as many times as you need, of course.
February 2, 201016 yr Very true. FSINN I find is much easier to assign aircraft. I have around 800 or so from WOAI and the time it took me to assign them in FSINN would've took a month in SB. By no means am I slagging SB as I used it for years, it's just a totally different process bringing them into SB. Clarke Kruger - CYEG

February 2, 201016 yr Is FSIn payware at all?No, it's free. But their (MCDU) website is undergoing maintenance (let's hope), so you must get the files somewhere else. You need to install FSCopilot first and then FSInn (there are nice and easy manuals). Try here (or find other temporary locations via Google): http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=20466

February 3, 201016 yr Also, see the FAQ in that VATSIM link.Down toward the bottom of one of them is a small config file you can create and put in the root directories of your payware models (if any). FSInn will then ignore those models when rendering planes online. This was a huge performance saver for me. I could never figure out how to get FSInn to stop using my PMDGs, etc. This solved it.This should be it...FAQ #9
