February 3, 201016 yr Does the 737 work with Saitek controls. I have a registered version of FSUIPC but I can not get the speedbrake/spoilers to work at all. Has anyone got this to activate if so plese tell me how you set it up as I can not use this aircraft, and its only this one I can not figure out. Geoff :(
February 7, 201016 yr Yes, it works with the Saitek controller. I have the yoke/throttle quads/rudder pedals. I have the spoiler arming switch mapped to the right hand rocker switch on the yoke....C2 to be exact. Now, bear in mind, this works perfectly with the 600/700 but found out today that it doesn't work with the 800/900. I just bought the 800/900 yesterday and didn't check this out till today. I even set the spoilers to arm with the 2D throttle panel and verified via the "spoilers armed" indication on the cockpit panel, but the spoilers did not deploy on landing (with the -800 version), so I have to try and figure out why they aren't deploying when armed. Like me, you may have to see about making an aircraft specific profile in FSUIPC or the Saitek profile to get the spoilers to arm and deploy. Maybe someone else has already figured this out already? Joe
February 11, 201016 yr you do not need to make a aircraft specific profile with fsuipc. before i get into this i have the saitek proflight yoke system with 2 throttles and a reg version of fsuipc. People from what i have seen tend to make fsuipc more complicated then it really is.To make ALL aircraft work with fsuipc all you have to do is get in the default 747 open your fsuipc setting go to axis assignments. Once you are there find the lever you want to program( im using the spoilers as an example for this) click the clear button one time it should be blank. click rescan if something that was set before shows click clear again and then rescan it should be blank. if it is blank move the lever for you spoiler. you will see the numbers start to move once you have went up and then back down stop right there ( DO NOT PULL THE LEVER BACK INTO THE DETENT) make sure the type of action required is set to Send to fs as normal axis. then put a check mark next to the first drop down box. it should go to white once it does go into the drop down list and look for axis spoiler set. Once you have done this click rescan move the lever you programed to it and it should say axis spiloer set in that drop down box. If it does not then just take and do the steps all over again. MAKES SURE that you do not have aircraft specific checked or it will screw everything up.Once you have it showing click ok to exit fsuipc go into your fs control assignments find the joystick axes and everything for that specific spoiler control delete the joystick assignment . nothing in the fs control assignments should be there or IT WILL NOT WORK. then go into you buttons/keys and make sure no joystick assignment is there.Once you have done all of this go outside the aircraft and look and see if the spoiler raises and lowers . if it does not lower then give it some throttle to move forward and it will some aircraft need the wind to make it lower. so if its working great there you have it. All of this i have just said applyies to every control weather it be engines or what have you. the control for engines is axis throttle # set and apply the same steps as you did for the spoiler.there is no need to calibrate the joystick for anything and i advise if you have the saitek software in to uninstall it. I would also say if you have already did something with fsuipc to make your life alot easyer to go into moduals find the fsuipc config delete it so you can start fresh with no problems. this does work i have been doing it this way for year this is exactly how the fsuipc manual tells you to do it. as long as you follow these step you will have no problem if you do you didnt follow what is said to do
