February 6, 201016 yr Now that my FS2004 is working pretty good it's time to go back to an old problem. One of the most expensive aircraft that I have purchased, the Majestic Dash 8, will NOT work with my Go Flight throttles. Does anyone have this combination and can tell me how to set up the throttles to work with it? Thanks jerrycwo4

One of the most expensive aircraft that I have purchased, the Majestic Dash 8, will NOT work with my Go Flight throttles. Does anyone have this combination and can tell me how to set up the throttles to work with it? Thanks jerrycwo4You are going to need a registered FSUIPC for this. This Aircraft requires you to map your throttle to Engines 3 and 4 in order to work correctlyAssign 2 levers to engine 3+4 within fsuipc, the next 2 levers to prop 3+4 (Check Aircraft Specific box)Make sure your Goflight throttle is not programmed anywhere else (goflight config or FS9 assignments)This is from olesky the Developer>The Dash-8 simulates engine computers, which have authority over the PLsand CLs unless in backup mode. The way this is done is that the engine computer algorithm takes inputsfrom throttles and pitch levers number #3 and #4 and applies inputs to #1and #2 So if you want to have independent controls, you must use FSUIPC or elitecontrol panel to assign the throttles and prop pitch to engines #3 and #4only, and leave axis for engines #1 and #2 uncontrolled. The fuel leveraxis for all engines (or at least #1 and #2) must be also leftunassigned. I know it is not standard, but there was no other way to simulate theengine computers correctly within MSFS.Here is a link to some info in the support forumhttp://198.164.146.97/fanda/Forum/search.p...p;submit=SearchHere is some info from the Avsim review of this addonFor owners of CH products Throttle Quadrant or any other multiple lever throttle unit that allows for individual throttle assignments all is not well in Toyland. Not from an operational standpoint but rather from a documentation regarding setup standpoint. I initially found that my throttles wouldn’t move, nor would the propeller pitch levers (my six levers are set for each of the three controls for engines 1 and 2). I’ve been through throttle problems before… remember my Feelthere ERJ145 review? I thought it might be a conflict with FSUIPC, so I reset the throttle calibration so FSUIPC wouldn’t alter the default MSFS calibration settings… no joy. Searched and searched through the included manual and found the INI file settings and chart which is supposed to be designed for use with CH products Throttle Quadrant (it is BTW) but that didn’t help and only left me confused. OK, got onto their forum and after doing a bit of searching, realized that if you are using an individual throttle controlling unit like CH products Throttle Quadrant you have to set them up to read only throttles 3 and 4, not 1 and 2. OK, I’ve got a configuration setup that I use for four engine aircraft so I started the sim with that one and used only the levers 3 and 4 on the CH unit (that’s what I thought that meant at first!). The throttles now were all over the place and basically impossible to control… now what do I do?Going back to the forums, I realized that in fact throttle assignments 1 and 2 need to be disabled so there is no input from them at all. OK… set up a new configuration file so that levers 1 and 2 send information to throttles 3 and 4, set levers 3 and 4 to send information to prop 3 and 4 and now the throttle worked but the RPM’s were way too high. I couldn’t even get them down to 1,200 rpm with the levers full back. I emailed Majestic support and got an email back from Oleksiy instructing me to make absolute sure that there were no assignments sending any information to engines 1 and 2 and also to make sure there were no settings in FSUIPC that would alter any information for engines 1 and 2. Aah… finally tracked down my arch nemesis on this one.
