PMDG 747-400 Engine spool up time

Featured Replies

is there a way to change my engine sppol up time in the pmdg 747 as i have downloaded some new sound files which i feel are an improvement, however with the CF6 i have noticed that ignition occurs on the model before it occurs on the sound, therefore you do not get the familiar 'boom' in the sound as light up occurs.if anyone could help i would be most appreicative

The spool up times in the PMDG 744 are correct, the only soundpack I would recommend for the 744 is the RB211 Super pack here on the Avsim library. Also not quite sure what you mean by the 'Boom Sound' you can just about hear the ignition on the flightdeck it's more a case of you can feel it. Regards

The "boom sound" he is talking about is when the fuel hits the combustion chamber (i.e very evident on the 737-700 cfm56-7). I don't think that there is a way to do what you're talking about.

was struggling with a way of describing the noise when the engine lights off but yeah the PW and RR sound packs are ok just the GE definitally has a different tone to it during operation. if its can't be changed then no sweat
