Wrong Terminal at JFK

Featured Replies

In FS9 when I was at JFK flying Jet Blue the aircraft was placed at the Jet Blue terminal. In FSX that doesn't happen. Can anyone tell me why? Thanks, David

Are you talking about AI traffic (Blue Jet) or the aircraft you were actually flying?Unless you had set up a "reserved VIP" parking spot for your aircraft in FS9 it was coincidental that AI directed you to the proper location. You can set up reserved spots for your aircraft in both FS9 and FSX but you would need to follow the instructions in the special tutorials which are available as the method is quite different for each version.AI aircraft on the other hand can be set up to be directed to specific areas using Adcad and a little editing of the AI aircraft's aircraft.cfg file.It would help if you could explain just what you mean.

Don't remember if it worked in FS9, as I moved to FSX early on, but in FSX if you set up your aircraft.cfg with the proper parking codes, ATC will assign you a gate within that airlines assigned gates if one is available to use.

Thanks

AFCAD is a free utility which is somewhat dated now but many of us still use it. The program allows you to create and/or edit airports for use in FS2004. You can add parking spaces, taxiways and runways etc..You can get it here:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...&DLID=46238It has an excellent Help file which will explain what it can and cannot do and show you step by step how to do many things. The two tutorials (Guides) for VIP parking are here:For FSX - http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...amp;DLID=126946For FS2004 - http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...amp;DLID=125172Hope these will useful.
