September 16, 201015 yr Author John, I'm intending in both situation, such an example, loading my E-170 (E-jets from Wilco) on my Torino Caselle (LIMF) free add-on airport, a little complex scenery, but this is not the problem, with a clear sky situation, I got something close to my 30 fps limited from FSX option, but if I'll use the same place in a thunderstorm or anyway heavy clouds situation, looking in Virtual cockpit pointing my view in the windshield glass, my fps falls down to 14-17. Note that if I'll move my view looking for example down to the center pedestal, frames go back to max, I think cause no clouds needs to be calculated. Almost the same happens in flight in case of heavy clouds.Someone tells that Bojote Shaders 3 mod should correct the problem, but I tried without luck :Cry:Let me know in case you're able to find a way for solve this problem :smile:Ah, just in case, this seems to happen obviously only with FSAA enabled (mine is set on 4X from ATI tray tools)!MauroHI Mauro,I just installed ******* Altuve's (bojote) shaders 3 modules. I also reduced my ATI AA and AF settings. My frame rates are definitely better. Also, I use Hi-Fi Simulations Active Sky Evolution (just upgraded from ASA). There is a small hit on frame rates when on the ground and looking at clouds but very minimal, like from 16 to 14fps or something so it seems negligible. I have no issues when flying, with clouds. I will do a full flight with Radar Contact 4, ASE and PMDG 744 today between some airport and probably landing at Mega Amsterdam X again or perhaps the London Heathrow from UK2000 and see how it goes. I AM still getting the occasional "skeleton" cockpit problem with the PMDG 744 which may be caused by PMDGs design as far as I can see from their forums, so that's another issue for another time I suppose. It is rather overwhelming to fix all this nonsense caused basically by add-ons. We cannot enjoy anything like this. I may just fly using the little mono-plane - the Trike- and see some nice "scenery" and enjoy the views, instead of labouring under this ton of crap. :Tounge: :Big Grin: John I love flying my "iddy biddy Jumbo" CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, socket 775/3GHz/1333MHz bus/6MB cache MOBO: Asus P5E3 Deluxe WiFi-AP@n/Intel X38 chipset RAM: 4GB Kingston HyperX 1333MHz. rated 7-7-7-20, matched pair (2 x 2GB) GRAPHICS: Sapphire Radeon 5770HD 1GB (w/ fan) MONITOR: Samsung 24", 2494HM LCD wide-screen 1920x1080 SOUND: SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS HARD DRIVES: 1xWestern Digital WD1600JD SATA 160GB (primary/Windows XP and system boot drive) 1xWestern Digital WD3200AAJS SATA2 320GB (secondary/Flight Simulator 2004 running off WinXP Pro 32-bit, games video editing drive) 1xWestern Digital 500GB Black series SATA2 (Windows 7 64-bit: FSX is running off Win7; Windows XP Professional 32-bit) CASE: Antec Sonata III 500W OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit for FSX; Windows XP Pro 32-bit for other things.

Last time I did that I had some issue with sea waves too, they were almost disappeared, so I decided to come back to 2.0. In case of positive results, I'll try to consider to purchase ASE to replace REX -_-Thank you and good wind!!

I don't have this problem after installing shaders version 3. It has the latest "waterconstants.xml" file with the correct modifications to see waves and shining light on the water. Try it if you want. Don't forget to back up your old files first though.John I love flying my "iddy biddy Jumbo" CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, socket 775/3GHz/1333MHz bus/6MB cache MOBO: Asus P5E3 Deluxe WiFi-AP@n/Intel X38 chipset RAM: 4GB Kingston HyperX 1333MHz. rated 7-7-7-20, matched pair (2 x 2GB) GRAPHICS: Sapphire Radeon 5770HD 1GB (w/ fan) MONITOR: Samsung 24", 2494HM LCD wide-screen 1920x1080 SOUND: SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS HARD DRIVES: 1xWestern Digital WD1600JD SATA 160GB (primary/Windows XP and system boot drive) 1xWestern Digital WD3200AAJS SATA2 320GB (secondary/Flight Simulator 2004 running off WinXP Pro 32-bit, games video editing drive) 1xWestern Digital 500GB Black series SATA2 (Windows 7 64-bit: FSX is running off Win7; Windows XP Professional 32-bit) CASE: Antec Sonata III 500W OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit for FSX; Windows XP Pro 32-bit for other things.
