C++ is a programming language. If you type "define:C++" into Google it will tell you more exact definitions.Redundant Array of Independent Disks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAIDD0: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stepping_levelD0 describes the Stepping Levels of the current flock of Intel processors, for example: i.e. when purchasing an i7-920 you might end up with a D0 proc or a C0 proc. The D0 is the newer version and overclocks better, as it is reported to run cooler than the C0. The i7-950 in my sig is a D0........and Google is your friend. :(

To further clarify the C++ thing in the context of FS, what you're probably seeing get installed are the Microsoft Visual C++ runtimes. These are dll files that reside in your system folder that essentially allow programs made using Visual C++ (which is Microsoft's application for creating C++ programs for Windows) to run on an end user's machine. There are different versions based on which version of VC++ was used (2005, 2008, there's a 2010 coming soon etc) - it is not unusual to see many of these installed in your Programs list.
