AS6.5 to ASE in FS9? Jim S.

Featured Replies

I've got ASA for FSX (which is iffy)...tried it for FS9 and went back to tried/true AS6.5. The question Jim is can I simply install ASE over 6.5 or do I need to uninstall AS6.5 from FS9 then install ASA plus ASE?ThanksRich Perry

I just installed it in the default location without uninstalling AS65 and have had no issues. It stays seperate for AS65, not sure about ASA/ASX. Sean Green

Hi Rich,If you want ASG textures for FS9 then leave ASv6.5 installed. With an ASA key, use the Full ASE download and install. Then you don't need to install ASA. If you create Snapshots with ASE or don't want ASG textures, ASv6.5 can be uninstalled at any time.

JimSorry I should have been more specific. I use REX for graphics and AS6.5 for weather engine only in FS9...works very well. The only thing I was considering ASE for is cloud pop issue...which is not that bad given my current settings. ThanksRich

Hi Rich,For any of this ASv6.5 does not need to be installed.Seeing you have an ASA key, I would uninstall ASA, download the Full ASE version from our web site and then install ASE.
