Favorite GA routes / flight plans?

Featured Replies

First off, just thought I'd introduce myself.. I've had FSX for a while now but I've only recently really gotten into it. I'm not a newbie to flight sims but I'm far from an expert too, so bear with me please! What I'm looking for are fun and interesting routes to fly with general aviation aircraft - basically flights of 10-30 minutes without requiring too much climbing, and without being so high altitude that planes like a Piper Cub would have trouble flying level. I've done some searching and I've found one good website - www.fsdestinations.com - which has a number of good flight plans to check out, but there are only so many and we have a whole planet to fly in!I've also found a lot of threads or websites with areas that are interesting to fly in, but not specific airport-to-airport plans. If you have no idea what airports are in those places and such, it's hard to come up with a fun route (decent scenery and not too terribly long). I prefer flight plans as opposed to just randomly flying around because I find that to be fairly boring. Is there a website (or even a built-in part of FSX I'm not aware of) that lets you easily browse certain geographical areas and their airports (and airport codes)? That would be another way to come up with some flights, although it would be more of a trial and error approach. Thanks!!Molly
