March 2, 201016 yr Good evening,I've a question: during the approach phase when i select the runaway on my fms, i suppose that on my fms, into the Nav section it will appear the ils frequency and the right glidescope, isn't correct? But i've tried 2 times and in the both flights i've to insert manually the ils frequency and the glidescope data. I a bug or i've simply to wait to be more near the runaway?Regards

The FMS data is updated monthly but not by PMDG. Since charts and seasonal changes amongst other changes are so plentiful no one addon company has the means to keep up with it. The nav data or FMS data to go with the latest charts can be downloaded from Navigraph. There is a small fee for these particualr services, but the fee is very small. I'm not sure of what charts your using if any or if the aircraft just isn't landing correctly in this case, but the latest Airac cycle should help. If all you're doing is installing the MD-11 on a fresh copy of FS and not using any charts or anything then it maybe something else. I'll try to test this a little later with the default data and see if I can see the problem on my end. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier

Anyway, my plane (after that i've insert manually on RAD/NAV schedule of my FMC,the ils frequency) lands right also in autoland mode. I want only to understand if as soon as i insert the arrival runaway on the FMC, automatically in the RAD/NAV must to appear the Ils Frequency? Or if i've to wait to be more close the airport to see these data on the FMC?Can you give me, if necessary, a short summary of the FMC procedures to do in the approach phase, if you wish...of course :( !Thanks a lotMattia Vanadia
March 4, 201016 yr The FMS manual has an entire chapter on approaches. Have you at least browsed it? Dan Downs KCRP
