Hey Jim,A very similar post to my support email to see if anyone else is having the issues as well...In an effort to tackle the niggling TAT issues some of us are still suffering with I decided to go for the full fresh install of ASE today. I uninstalled ASE then ASA then ASV and deleted all remaining folders. Then I ran the ASE full install and input my ASA code. Immediately I noticed that at EGCC I was getting no temperature updates at all but FS was still showing 58F at EGCC when it should be 26 F. This was despite no errors in the log and depiction mode being completed. Winds were matching the Metar however temperature was not being adjusted at all. So then I went back, uninstalled ASE and re-installed ASV and ASA. Immediately everything worked as expected in both ASV and ASA. Temps and weather were updated as expected. I then ran the ASE install again. ASE went back to not updating the temps at EGCC... Then while going back and forth between ASE and ASA for testing ASA started to ask for license validation multiple times and has now locked me out (see order number below.) I then started experimenting at multiple airports just in ASV and ASE and in ASV everything is normal while in ASE the results are below:Here are my ASE results, ASA has locked me out but appeared to be working as normal prior to the license issue. ASV appears to work fine... Some sample logs attached.EGCC Correct Winds but temperature still 58 F (should be 26F) ASV will set it to 26 and ASE will reset it to 58 even after depiction complete and refreshEGNM Correct Winds but Temperature still 58F (Should be 28F)EHAM Correct Winds no temperature updatesEGLL Correct Winds no temperature updatesPANC right temperature, right pressure and right winds but no precipitation (should be snow)KEWR correct winds correct temp correct pressureUWWW Correct Wind, Correct Temp, Correct Pressure and PrecipitationLSZH Correct Wind Correct Temp Correct PressureAnyone else seeing anything like this?Thanks!!-Paul

I never had ASA installed, I went right from AS6.5 to a complete install of ASE, though I had a few problems with clouds disappearing, I never had a problem with winds or temps. And now since not using DWC I am perfectly happy. One thing I may suggest is this, do a complete uninstall of everything. ASE and I'll assume ASA leaves things behind so I suggest you clean that up aswell so there is nothing left on your machine. After uninstall check your program files directory and delete your Hifi folder, go into the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER then SOFTWARE and delete the Hifi key, (Im not sure if your familiar with editing the registry so proceed with caution) also in your appdata folder I would delete any asa.wx.info or asx.wx.info dat files, basically clean any remnants of asa ase or asx off of your machine then do a full install of ASE. This might not fix your problem but hey its worth a shot.

Thanks Ian, That was the exact processed I had followed originally but I did try it again just to be sure and unfortunately that was not the trick... Thank you for taking the time to help though. This was the email I just sent to Jim:Hey Jim,I "think" I "may" have figured out what the issue was... This is all over WideFS btw so I do not know if that was a factor but I do not think so after my testing. After hours and hours of uninstalling/re-installing, going through system restores, testing some more and pulling my hair out I started to notice a trend. I reset FSUIPC as suggested, uninstalled, numerous times, cleared ALL registry settings literally tried everything but could not get anything to work consistently. Every time I would install ASE (upgrade or full) it would work once. Then I would get excited, go in and set all of my options and low and behold from that point on it seemed like everything stopped working and the depiction was completely inaccurate with no temperature depiction and barometer setting depiction coming in correctly 50% of the time. Then I thought (I use the term loosely) maybe one of the options I was setting was actually causing the issue. I was running:CloudsCloud Layers 2 Min turbulence 0Max Turbulence 100Min Icing 0Max Icing 0CAVOK 0No Data 0Cirrus 0Stratus 0By Changing all of the settings in bold from 0 to 1 immediately everything started working again... I then started going through each individual setting and turning them back to 0 to try and narrow down the offending setting and sure enough, every time I set Cirrus to 0 I lost my temperature depiction. By setting it back to 1 the depiction was normal. I was able to replicate this 10 times in a row and while I realize that is not enough testing to deliver a definitive answer it certainly seems like a very good lead... I now have my FSUIPC settings back to where they were, all settings except Cirrus at 0 and I seem to be getting accurate depiction everytime. To test, go to EHAM (maybe the key was that it was clear I don't know) set all the above to 0, launch FS and let ASE connect. See if your temp stays between 55-59F. Then go in and set Cirrus to 1 and see if you get accurate temperature depiction. For me that seems to be the key factor but like I said knowing Murphy's law as soon as I type this up and send it in it will stop working again ;)...Hope this is useful and helps track this down, it took me at least eight or nine hours to come to my "conclusions"Cheers,-Paul

Happy to report that I am now en-route from EHAM-KEWR with ASE operating as expected. :( Sure enough when Cirrus is set to 0 depiction goes amiss all over again :( yet at 1% everything seems to be ok. :( Way too early to report on cloud popping etc.. but at least I am working (for now) B) Hope this can be reproduced and can help others...-Paul

Hi Paul,As you can see it is pretty late here so I am not going to have a chance to test this tonight, but maybe tomorrow night. In the mean time I HIGHLY SUGGEST that anyone else who reads this tries this out and reports back. No, you are not gloryfied beta testers, you can help us nail down an issue and be part of the solution and not part of the problem.

Hi,Yes that's true, I notice that too.......Christian
Thanks Christian!!Happy to help Jim, I know you weren't speaking to me but I don't look at it as glorified beta testing at all, I look at it as contributing to the betterment of the programs I use and enjoy!Always happy to try and help lock down an issue...Thanks again Christian,-Paul

I did not understand. For this to work well, must be placed at 0 and Cirrus to 1?

Tested on Bari-Naple......disappearance of overcast and sky clear.

Hi All,With Cirrus at zero I get correct data everytime.Paul, let me as you this: Do you have Fog Layer Generation On?ASE---networked-----FS9----FSUIPC registered but default settings and weather settings off.

Hi Jim,like taking your car to the mechanic... ;)I do have Fog Layer Generation on... Would you like me to disable? Yep,ASE---networked----FS9----FSUIPC registered, reset to defaults and weather settings off (should I be setting weather settings off before each flight?)AlsoASV 6.5----networked----FS9----FSUIPC always works when ASA does not...Thanks as always,-Paul

Hi,Yes, with Fog Gen Off.No, you can just clear FSUIPC once. I can't remember the last time I actually pushed those 2 buttons, but it has been a LONG time.

Hi Jim,You are right Jim but if you do a full flight from A to B, at B the weather stay with the default value (15

Hi,But Paul said to go to any airport like EHAM and his temps did not match. He has said nothing about flying from A to B. Let me ask you: do you have Fog Gen Layer On?

Hi,Yes Fog layer was on...I will test again but I'm pretty sure it works correctly at the beginning of the flight.ThanksChristian
