Saitek X65F - anyone got one?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have an X65F who has (had) a Thrustmaster Cougar Hotas? How do they compare in size? I never got on with the Cougar as I found the stick far too large to use all the buttons comfortably.

I have it... and it is without a doubt the best stick I've ever had! It is roughly the same size as the Cougar... maybe just a tad smaller. I have no problems with the buttons, hat switches, etc... it fits my hand perfectly!

I just got mine last week. Sadly , it died on me after 1 hour. Saitek have been very good though and immediately shipped out first a replacement joystick, then throttle. To be fair, I think it was damaged in transit, as there were broken screws in the box when I opened it.I can say however that I did 3 perfect carrier landings in the F-18, straight out. The force sensing works well and the stick is a joy to use. The throttle response is linear and very smooth. I really like the way it felt. I came from a cougar and it seems very good. I just hope the build quality stands up to the future usage. I am new to Saitek products so have no previous experience. Support and customer service has been first class though.Cheers,Mark
