March 7, 201016 yr When I try to save any changes that I've made to the terrain.cfg file I just get a message saying "Access is Denied" even though I am logged in as the administrator.What Operating System are you using - XP, Vista or Win 7 ??With Vista or Win 7 you may need to turn off UAC (User Account Control) in order for edits to be recorded even though you are logged on as adminstrator. Also be sure your FSX is not running when you attempt to make edits.
March 7, 201016 yr Copy paste the cfg codes to a new notepad document, name it accordingly and swap it with the original. Keep original stored somewhere. "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
March 7, 201016 yr Author Great, many thanks for your help. I only upgraded from XP a couple of months ago and am still getting used to all this extra security in Win 7.I just temporarily turned of the user account control while I made the changes and it allowed me to save it.
