I used to have these DNS issues with various sites quite often. I started using the google DNS servers that Ryan is referring to and haven't had an issue since. Some providers are just slow to update for some reason.

If you're not behind a closed network (some businesses prefer to enforce certain DNS servers), use these DNS servers:

Primary : 8.8.8.8

Secondary : 8.8.4.4

 

These are both Google DNS servers, and are pretty much the best available publicly.
