Alternate air & cowl flaps FS2004 Seneca

Featured Replies

Please can anybody tell me how to operate the alternate air levers and cowl flaps in the FS2004 Seneca? I can just about get the cowl flaps to open and close using the mouse, but this doesn't seem to work very easily. Or should I use the standard FS keystrokes of Ctrl-Shift-C/V? As far as the alternate air levers are concerned, I cannot get them to move at all. Nothing happens when I put my mouse near them, and I am not aware of any FS keystrokes for this action. Thanks for your help.

I have discovered from Carenado support that the alternate air function is the same as carb heat - I wish they would make this clear in their documentation for the benefit of the less technically minded. The default keystroke for carb heat in FS2004 is H. Well I have tried this in the Seneca, and the alternate air levers just won't budge. I cannot drag them with the mouse. Am I doing something wrong? Are these levers animated? If not, then how can I tell whether or not alternate air / carb heat has been turned on?Thanks for your help.

I don't have the FS9 version, but in FSX, Alt Air and Cowl Flaps levers work with the mouse wheel and the Alt Air will also work with a left click.
