Could be settings. How high are you settings in FSX?

It's normal for the textures to take a couple of seconds to build; however, I've never read reports that the FS logo appears. Geeze.

The FS logo will appear while textures are loading if one is using the DirectX 10 mode.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, I am using Direct x10. Would you advise I use Direct x9 then?

I have to use x9, otherwise the runway markings flicker and I get bleed through of textures.
