April 3, 201016 yr I'm having a huge problem where I always experience a CTD at a point somewhere over Eastern Europe. I haven't been at the computer when the CTD happens, so I can only guess that it's happening somehwere over Poland, Belarus, or Western Russia. I have lots of scenery installed, so I'm doing to try and start disabling things to see if I can find the problem. My question is what should I concentrate on disabling? Should I've allready tried clearing the scenery from those countries, and I got a CTD somewhere over the area while going from ZBAA to LFPG. Should I just try removing everything that I'm not using?Or maybe the CTD isn't caused by a scenery package? All I get is an error message that says FS9 has had a problem. If this is caused by something like AI, how to I go about troubleshooting that? Finally, I do have scanAFD installed, but it will only look at my addon scenery/scenery folder, and nothing else. If I tell it to scan all of the scenery, it hangs up and never responds.Any ideas?thanks
April 3, 201016 yr Do you have Ultimate Terrain Europe installed? If so, do you have their Eastern Europe "patch"? Also make SURE you don't have any empty addon scenery folders anywhere in you your sim. Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. April 3, 201016 yr HiHave you checked for duplicate AFCAD files for airports in the vicinity of your CTD? I have found that these can frequently cause a conflict which results in a CTD and it is the first thing I look for when recurrent CTDs happen in the same general area. Deleting the conflicting AFCAD file will usually then solve the problem. I use Airport Facilitator X to manage my AFCAD files but I think there is freeware available which will do the same.Hope this helps,BillWindows XP Pro SP2; Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0Ghz CPU; Arctic Cool 7Pro; ASUS P5N-E-SLI Motherboard; 2GB Corsair 800Mhz DDR2 RAM; 768MB nVidia GeForce 8800GTX Dual VGA Graphics card; 2x 500GB SATA 7200RPM Hard Drive; 650W (2 x 12V) PSU; 1000GB Western Digital External Hard Drive; 150GB Western Digital External Hard Drive; CH Pro Yoke and PedalsPowering 240GB of fs9 escapism!
