April 5, 201016 yr I have been away from FSX for a year or so and now am back. I have reinstalled FSX and the Acceleration package. In browsing I found an FSX Service Pack 2 on Microsoft's dowload center.Do I need to install this? Is there any other updates I need to install? Thanks,Roy i7-10700 CPU @2.90 GHz, 32 GB Ram, nVadia GTX1660ti, Samsung 1 TB SSD Drive
April 5, 201016 yr No, you don't need it. If you have FSX and Acceleration installed you are running the latest version Klas Member of AVSIM's Around the World Race Team

April 5, 201016 yr If one has installed FSX Deluxe SP2, but wants the contents (missions etc.) in Acceleration, would this mean one would have to deinstall FSX Deluxe SP2 completely and then install FSX with Acceleration from scratch?
April 5, 201016 yr If one has installed FSX Deluxe SP2, but wants the contents (missions etc.) in Acceleration, would this mean one would have to deinstall FSX Deluxe SP2 completely and then install FSX with Acceleration from scratch?I think you only need to uninstall SP2 in order to install Acceleration, so you don't need to uninstall FSX completely. I have never done it though. Klas Member of AVSIM's Around the World Race Team
April 5, 201016 yr Commercial Member I kinda doubt you need to uninstall SP2 to install Acceleration, I've never actually tried it, but I'd think the Acceleration installer would detect it. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

From the SP2 read me:"If install SP2 and later purchase Flight Simulator X: Acceleration, you must uninstall SP2 before installing Acceleration."
April 5, 201016 yr Commercial Member Ok I stand corrected then, thanks. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
April 5, 201016 yr Thanks for the replies. What if I install FSX Deluxe Gold on top of FSX Deluxe SP2?
April 5, 201016 yr Thanks for the replies. What if I install FSX Deluxe Gold on top of FSX Deluxe SP2?I believe Gold is just FSX Deluxe and Acceleration in the same box, so you would have to uninstall SP2 there as well. Klas Member of AVSIM's Around the World Race Team
