April 5, 201016 yr I consider to purchase the above scenery package but before doing so Iwonder if anybody has it and what the results are ?Is there really a big difference to the FSX scenery ? Does it applyto the whole world or only to certain areas ?Thank you for any feedback.Herbert Werni
April 5, 201016 yr Hi Herbet, I almost bought FS Global 2010 a few months ago, but figured I would stay with what I have for now. It looked good though. As for coverage, here is a excerpt from the 2010 product description."... So this is the first version of FS Global to offer a WHOLE world coverage including areas not covered by SRTM such as Antarctica, Greenland, Iceland, Russia and Scandinavia to name a few."So having read that in the 2010 description, I doubt that 2008 has full coverage.Hope this helps, i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
April 6, 201016 yr FS Global is a mesh product and not scenery as such but does help scenery. It also corrects most of the 'idiotic' holes and spikes in default fsx.2008 and 2010 are the same for fs9 but 2010 has a lot more coverage in fsx.Hope of some help - I also have a corrected SKCL for global 2010 as that one is all to pot in the standard and global 2010 in fsx.John Ellison
April 8, 201016 yr I have FS Global 2010 and think it's worth every penny. It greatly enhances the mesh in FS. Especially in mountain area's. It will take the better part of your evening, installing the 6 (!) DVD's to your pc. Regards, Frank van der Werff
