Does anyone have any info on this?All My net framework blocks are checked in turn windows features on and off section. I tried a flight in the MD11 from KSFO to KSEA, using Dan Downs scenery for those airports. I an getting frustrated with this!

Hi Jim, Ahh the ole smartass embly error aye. The only thing I know to fix it is to reinstall .net over itself. Download the latest .net 3.5.1 and give it a go. Some fairly recent games have added beta versions of .net and has caused coruption such as Fallout 3 but not sure I have heard anyhing else causing it lately (since win7 anyway)..Net looks at other dll's and can error out because of them, so if the above doesn't work, reinstalling your C++ runtimes might help also (C+2005 & 2008, 32 and 64 bit for both found here.Last thing I can think of is disabling .net in either where you found it or in group policy's, reboot, run FSX (without it on), exit FSX and re-enable .net, reboot and see if that works. I don't quite understand the logic to this last one but supposedly it has helped others.Hope this helps,

Thanks Dan, Will try all that, And attempt another flight. I retried the same flight with LDS 767, and had the same error, So its not PMDG related, Sorry for posting in this forum.

I thought Net was included in Vista/W7? I've never had to touch anything that has to do with .net

It is included with Win7, but I have had to mess with it once since I upgraded where it was disabled (turned off). I don't know how it got turned off and I never did it directly. Perhaps in my case either another program did, or it shut itself off after a crash. Back when I had this problem it was pretty noticable and my event logs were clean and don't even remember any lockups or crashes that could have caused it. Doesn't really matter though since just because an OS comes with something, doesn't mean it can't get corrupt which was my point in reinstalling it.One thing though is to make sure it is on if reinstalling or the installer will just disapear without any reason to why.Vista comes with an old version, infact part of my own full FSX (and addons) install was to install the latest *3.5.1 along with the latest C++ after everything else was installed. Once I incorporated those into my install methods I cleared up lots of issues I now only read about in forums.I have never had to purchase anything though since .net is free.

It dosent matter if I have it turned on, or off, I cant reinstall net framework.

Made it! Flight time of 7:53,And good framerates at the end. Now to try a flight in the US.
