I am just trying to get FSX to continue limping along till I finish backing up and swapping to Win 7 64bit. I originally started out with XP/Vista (32/32) dual boot and was using XP for FSX but was tempted by DX10 and added most addons to Vista now. (Yes Vista isnt good for FSX) So I am stuck with my now bloated OS (install is over 2 years old now) And I have defragged recently. Back to DX9 in FSX also.So I am flying the A2A B-17 accusim with Europe UTX and GEX and running Active Sky Evolution w/ REX textures along with FSpassx (for warzone flak) and I am getting Out of memory CTD's. I have also had this happen recently with a more simple aircraft Carenado U206 with same scenery and Air Hauler instead of FSpassXSpecs E6600 @ 3.0 (3.2 in winter) 4gb OCZ pc-6400 mem, GTX 260 898mb (192 version) Vista 32 bitI ran GPU-Z and it showed a max of 500-525 mb of vid mem used and Everest shows 2200 to 2400 used with 800-1000 mb free of the 3.2 gb that vista says is useable?I run fullscreen on 2 screens and use the 2nd for pop up panels ect.... I turned off all my AI traffic and still had it happen. (No enhancer atm)Thanks(And with Win 7 64 bit is it true I can plug in my 2 - 1GB sticks of Corsair PC-6400 into the 2 empty slots with the 2-2gb sticks of OCZ mem at different timings?, sorry I am getting behind in tech nowadays, and FS and sims seemed to be my main drive to keep up with it.)

If you are getting Out of Memory (OOM) errors on a 32 bit OS, you should apply the /3GB switch. Search for /3GB in this forum.
