Still have red/lightbrown squares help please!!!

Featured Replies

After checking everything on the "read me first", I change the numbers on the "texture bandwidth" to 400 and even more; but the reddish squares( on the ground) and white squares( on the water) are still there. These squares were a problem on FS2002 too, when I upgraded from a Geforce 3 to a Geforce 4 4600ti; but the performance was much better that I decided to wait for FS2004. So I believe the problem is the 4600ti. These squares mostly happen when changing views on 2d cockpit mode. I don't know if more ram would help me(I already have 640 RDRAM), new processor or some new drivers on my video card( I hope that i Don't need a new one) Any suggestions or tweaking are really appreciated. Everything is running great except that. Thanks... Alberto Gateway P4 2.0, 640 RDRAM Rambus,Geforce 4600 Ti 128 (44.03 drivers), 80 HD, Audigy2, viewsonic vx900.

Are these squares there for just a moment while the new textures load?If so, your video card is fine, mine does the same thing..

Bert

Yes, the squares are there just until the textures loads... Suggestions??? Thanks Bert Alberto

My suggestion is frankly to ignore this (assuming it only lasts a split second) and enjoy FS2004!!! I'm happy for you that everything else is working great!I'm still struggling with menus that do not work too well in full screen mode..If you have not already, try Chris Willis's tweaks (2xAA, 4xAF and change the terrain settings in fs9.cfg, see the FAQ at the beginning of the forum) and you'll have the best looking sim, ever!
