NO CAtagory list

Featured Replies

I do no fly missions very often, but recently, I noticed that do not see the catagory list when I go to the Mission box. I do see all of the installed missions in the dropdown box below what should the Categories....It's just a minor little thing, but if possible I'd like to get things back to the way they are...any suggestions are welcome. Thanks...Sherm

Hi FolksSherm -Need some further info.Category dropdown-list appearing to be emptyis possibly a font related issue,or possibly a "Display Properties" "Appearance" settings issue.Does the dropdown-list contain -- a single row ?- multiple rows ?If multiple rows,it's a font related issue,or possibly a "Display Properties" "Appearance" settings issue. You can confirm by clicking any apparently empty row in the list, and if the results box is then filtered, then the categories are working, (just not visible). Is the skii-level dropdown-list populated ?As above.Otherwise -possibly your FSCategories.xml file is damaged, though I'd expect to see at least one category in the dropdown-list.Several developers fail to follow the SDK instructions, and inappropriately modify the default FSCategories.xml file.e.g. Aerosoft, Horizon, and several others. They then fail to reinstate that file when uninstalling their missions.Download an orignal MS version from - CFDG - FSX - Missions - Categories - MS default missions (all versions)HTHATBPaul
