ASE SP1 - FSX restart

Featured Replies

Hi,After using the Add/Remove screen, there are 2 folders left behind. One is a folder in the install path and the other is in the Documents and Settings/Application Data/UserName/HiFi folder.

thanks Jim,I also uninstalled ASE and deleted every Hifi folder and cleaned my registry.I was forced to type in my licence key what made me sure to have cleaned everything properly. But the behave is unchanged. What I have noticed:As long as I don't start a flight it is working: then I can exit and restart FSX many times, ASE recognizes my current position. But when i start a flight and end this (I usually end flights with ESC to come to main menu) and then exit and restart FSX ASE isn't recognising my position or time or anything. I can see that also, because ASE does not write after "Range:" N/A, what normally happen, when disconnected. After I end a flight via ESC and go to Main menu, I'm able to change my position and ASE does recognise and change it, too.please, Jim take your time and think about a possible solution...many thanks

Hi,The Programming team has already looked into this and they know where the problem lies: SimConnect from Microsoft. Seeing that Microsoft is not going to support FSX or SimConnect from FSX any longer, there is nothing we can do about this. The solution is to close ASE and re-start it. Yes, this takes a bit of time, but that is the solution. We are sorry it has to be this way, but there is nothing more we can do.

thanks for response, Jim.An other problem occured:Due to the several installations (today I have reinstalled my compete OS) my number of activations run out...I already submitted a mail to you via the support system.I don't have my order number and also forgot my hifi market password.I wanted to let me sent this via password recovery, but never got this mail. So, I fear, the support and reactvation-mail would be also lost in spam...Please let me know here if you have reactivated my ASE license or if you have further questions....thank you very much and sorry for the troubles..Guenter

Thank you very much, Jim for resetting the key so fast!!!And for others as information:the proplem is (maybe) caused by FSUIPC! (or its interaction with VRInsight)BUT, don't blame FSUIPC: its just the mod for VRInsight MCP Combo.Normal FSUIPC Users (also with registered version) don't have a problem. You can read in FSUIPC forum if a solution could be found. So, thanks Jim for support and sorry for the circumstances!
