April 28, 201016 yr I'm sure I saw somewhere a tool for totally removing all traces of FSX before doing a totally clean re-install - does any one know where please?ThanksThis is what I use:http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninst...e_download.htmlHowever, it is still best to do a comprehensive manual search for anything (files and folders) which may be left over. Some files and folders are not created until you run the sim and thus no un-install routine will know they exist. When checking, be sure to check for "hidden" file and folders.I my experience Revo and other programs like it do a very good job of cleaning up the registry but may miss files and folders such as I mentioned.Good luck!
April 28, 201016 yr Author Thanks David - I am doing the uninstall because I bought FSX Traffic and it does not work - it seems to find duplicate traffic installed even though there is nothing obvious in SimObjects. Need to take out everything! Aidan Bartley

Need to take out everything!Exactly what do you mean by "duplicate traffic" ??Un-installing FSX (and re-installing it) should be the very last resort.
April 28, 201016 yr Author Too late I'm afraid - I'm in the process of uninstalling. Can someone please advise me - should I be installing FSX, then Accelerator pack which I have then SP1 and SP2?Do I have to install the acceleration pack? Does it just contain more aircraft or is it required before installing SP1/ SP2 please? Thanks in advance. Aidan Bartley
April 28, 201016 yr If you install Acceleration, that includes SP1 and SP2, so you don't need either.Acceleration adds additional planes, scenery and missions + air racing. Paul Skol

Once I have installed that must I then download and install SP1 and SP2 please? Thanks. Aidan Bartley
