TextureMaxLoad: relationship to blurry textures?

Featured Replies

Hello All,I'm thinking overall it was BP UsePools=0 AND the HighMemFix that are most responsible for crazy good overall performance. Many thanks to ******* for these two! Things are SO GOOD right now it's time to reclone my OS and FSX drives! I did begin, for the first time ever, getting blurred textures after flying a half hour or so in complex scenery. Never had this until, I'm fairly sure, using the TextureMaxLoad entry. I had it everywhere from 9 to 30, with 30 being the setting that made me realize that maybe was the issue. Last night I did a 90 min flight in the AUX Blue area into Melbourne in the moderately complex J4100 and had no more blurred textures and wonderful overall performance: it's really now at nearly 100% perfect! I had removed the TextureMaxLoad entry so I'm thinking this was the issue. What exactly is this variable supposed to affect? Also, ******* mentioned to another poster complaining of blurries to change the FFTF. Isn't this setting only for non-multicore processors? Noel

I concur with you Noel. When I first read the BP=0 post I set the TML to 6 and that worked great. With a higher setting the blurries seemed to appear especially on a long flight (> 1hr)jja
